Rest in Peace Jimmy Carter. You lived a hundred interesting years. My story about him goes like this:

In the summer of 2008, I was invited to a Global Warming summit in the Arctic by @solindblad. I had no idea what to expect at the time, yet it still stands out as one of the most interesting weeks of my life. Jimmy and Roslyn Carter were also guests and I must say that Jimmy was one of the most gracious guys you will ever meet. He was 84 at the time, yet active and was in and out of zodiacs and did not miss an expedition onto the arctic ice or tundra. He was also the only person who never nodded off during a lecture. One day over lunch, I jokingly complimented him about it to which he replied that being President taught him that out of respect, one cannot fall asleep when someone is talking. Sweet dreams Jimmy
